Alocasia nebula is a flowering plant in the family Araceae, native to Sarawak state, Malaysia. It is a compact-growing tropical plant known for its striking heart-shaped leaves with grey-green upper surfaces and dark reddish-purple undersides. The thick, leathery leaves feature a bullate (blistered) texture with intricate veining and measure up to 15 cm long. Mature plants reach 8-12 inches tall with a 24-inch spread, featuring peltate juvenile leaves that transition to obliquely erect adult foliage. Its stems have dull pale green petioles with deep purple dots and glands, contributing to its cosmic-like appearance. Renowned among houseplant enthusiasts for being exceptionally challenging to cultivate, it requires specific environmental conditions that are hard to replicate indoors.
