Mature plants reach 8-12 inches tall with a 24-inch spread, featuring peltate juvenile leaves that transition to obliquely erect adult foliage. Its stems have dull pale green petioles with deep purple dots and glands, contributing to its cosmic-like appearance. Renowned among houseplant enthusiasts for being exceptionally challenging to cultivate, it requires specific environmental conditions that are hard to replicate indoors.
