Alocasia zebrina is a striking tropical plant growing up to 1.8 m (6 ft) tall, occasionally reaching 2.9 m (10 ft). It features pale green petioles with distinctive dark green to brown zebra-like stripes and large arrow-shaped leaves measuring 45-100 cm (1.48-3.28 ft) long. The glossy, leathery leaf blades are bisected at the base into two triangular lobes. Its flowers grow in pairs up to 16 cm (6.3 in) long, followed by orange fruits.
